* 4 - 5pm SLT - Live Performance: nuvolino Roffo
nuvolino (Davide Ferri)  is an musician living in Australia, he has been composing and creating all styles of electronic music from ambient to hard trance and club tracks.
His sound has been often described as “pure” and “uplifting” and “fresh” just about everyone that has heard his tracks has found something in them that keeps them coming back for more!
Davide is self taught and has been creating his mastery since the age of 13 and is looking to get himself onto a label, although unsigned as yet he has produced and distributed quite a few Albums with the first one titled “Fruitastic” which was released in 1999 initially in Tasmania  and his current Album titled “Cloud Chamber” which can be found circulating in Tasmania, Melbourne and Queensland.
Majority of his sound is done real time without much use of loops but more the use of Midi sequencing and playing and layering from a musical keyboard using cubase as his studios core originally using an Atari STe now using an Apple mac (which is now his favourite computer)

“Music is the only language that all the world can understand.”  Sharie, or “Shar” has been singing for many years, beginning at an early age.  She had the privilege to start singing online in 1999 and shares a wide variety of music, including rock, country, pop and show tunes.  She looks forward to singing in SL, sincerely hopes you enjoy what you hear, and believes that everyone who sings from the heart is a “star”.

But God had other plans.  He knew I had a voice in side me. So I am here to let that voice be heard.
I sing with the soul of de islands.  A FLAVA they say.
From Bob Marley to Sade.  A mixture of back in times to modern times.  IF my heart loves it, I sing it.

I am here in SL to develope my RL artist side. I was born in the Basque Country, quite closed society, and never had a chance to learn about art, never until I was 18. It was not what I wanted because of my economic situation, but I learnt graphic design. Four years of learning helped me to learn about colour theory and different tools, from Real ones to digital ones, basing my work in two different branches: Watercolours and Adobe Photoshop software. Watercolours, because they give me that movement illusion in RL, Photoshop, because it gives me the chance to dig further into my art. Those artists steps were stopped at the age of 23, I found a job far from art for more than 8 years, but it was killing me, I needed to create, and I found SL, to keep on learning and developing my artistic side. Now I am recovering all those past years, learning each and everyday, and trying to make people enjoy my art, art is the magical expression of each one of us after all. Being able to show my work all around this world… that will be great…
All my work is basically based on three basic points: light, colour and rythm, and almost all the ideas come from own feelings and experiences, most of them, not all: I just create some music without sound, some alive watercolour, watercolours that never dry, and light, many light, giving those 3d pieces more depth and movement, it’s the main idea, movement, cinetic works, creating in a fourth dimension, a new dimension to play with and express myself, so maybe there’s some kind of futurism there too… With each work I try to create what I have envision after thinking about a concept, then I develope it, until I discover what I wanted to build, that’s a nice moment really…
I have been for one year and five months in SL, and I have never stoped learning about building, scriptting, textures… I feel like a child, playing with everything I find, and expressing myself freely, that’s the best sensation I have ever had, beeing able to create, at least, I have been able to recover my artist side, and now I feel alive, now I can take a look at my mind and understand Gaudi, those organic forms make me crazy, or Picasso’s use of basic forms, dividing reality in basic forms to work with, and pop use of colour, and music mainly, that’s my real inspiration…. sounds…

She now solo performs live concerts on the net, primarily in the fantastic live streamed music venues that have been created in the virtual world of Secondlife.com, enjoying a truly international audience!

NANCE has a very unique style that is enjoyed by many. Courageous, sexy, and out, NANCEs love for music shines in her voice, guitar and lyrics. She has made her audiences laugh, cry, smile, heal and ponder, she is loved dearly by many fans around the world.

KevinBear floats thru originals and amazing renditions of his musical influences including John Prine, Neil Young, Townes Van Zant, Kris Kristopherson, Bob Dylan and the other great songwriters whose lyrics have captured a moment in his life.  There is probably nobody in SecondLife that plays and sings with as much honesty as KevinBear Watanabe.  You will wind up floating with him and you will find yourself not wanting it to end.  It is a rare treat to have the opportunity to hear him perform.

Moondoggirl was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota…the sparkling Land of 10,000 Lakes. She cut her teeth on folk, lost my innocence to rock, grooved on jazz, and came of age with country. The passion for writing has always been in her bones. She began her trips to Nashville several years ago when she realized that writing had become a way of life. In December 2006 she made a permanent move to Nashville.

Having worked with Photoshop for over a decade in RL have given me the ability to forge and create not only fashion, but build custom textured buildings, take good Photographies and play with all other outlets this creative world of SL allows for. I can of course offer advice or help within any of this during a date, even if my main goal for the evening is to “get out of work” and enjoy the evening on a proper date with an amazing person I love to hold an interesting conversation and get to know people from around the world. Its one of the blessings of SL - To meet new persons and make new friends! The perfect setting for this can be anything really. It is the person who makes the situation perfect. Not the situation. It could be in the arms of one another on a moonlit beach next to a bonfire talking the night away. It could be a grand ballroom, where you can truly appreciate a beautiful ladies company and wit, while leading her across the floor (and get an excuse to rub her feet after those ballroom shoes have tortured her for a while). But a date can also be about fun. I love taking crazy pictures to remember it by. Memories of a special night together, and maybe the start of a brewing friendship

I would like to point out two entrants who created amazing items Kurston Brody, MissPure Voom, and Moire Georgette, they created stunning pieces! We encourage everyone to check out each entrants store if you haven’t had the chance to see our design challenge entries do it while you still can! We would like to thank our members for all the work they have done in pulling of this new concept in events its been a real feat but so much fun! I would also like to thank all the entrants for setting aside time in their First and Second Lives to create an entry. You showed us fun and variety on the creative end in Second Live content creation. We thank you, and enjoyed every moment and item. We hope you enjoyed our challenge and will enter our Summer Design Challenge in July. Theme: Too Darn Hot!/Cat on a Hot Tin Roof/Fever! details later! What makes the most exciting event of the season? Challenge designers to create a wearable item inspired by a flamingo, add a hunt, photo contest, four DJs, a live band and Cinco de Mayo extravagance for 12 hours!!!

On Saturday, May 3rd from 12 pm until 12 am, The Cafe Society is presenting an amazing 12-hour event in celebration of Cinco de Mayo!

The theme is “Flamingos and Flamencos,” so be sure to put on your Latin Groove and come on down to be a part of this exciting, sizzling-hot fiesta! During the festivities, if you are not too busy salsa dancing into the sunset, you will get the chance to vote in the Flamingo Design Challenge, where prizes will be awarded to the designers who receive the most votes. Come prepared for a full day of fun events, including a sim-wide hunt, an event photo contest, voting for the design entries, flamingo races, four fabulous live DJ’s, and the best live Latin band in SL — *Shamanes* — performing not one — but two — sets!

Come dressed to salsa dance under the tropical sun by day and shake to the sensual Latin grooves on the steamy seaside promenade at night. Afterwards, join us for an exclusive after-party on our glamorous yacht! You will not want to miss this once-in-a-slifetime event. See you there!

On Sunday April 27th, Luicee Babii and I will be appearing on Tonite Live with Paisley Beebe show.  We will be showing off the Flamingo Entry’s and talking about the Cafe Society on SLCN.TV.   This should be really interesting cause its LIVE, and its VOICE!  Stay Tuned!
